This training will address advanced and emerging issues related to U nonimmigrants, including issues about travel, adjustment of status, waitlist problems, cases in detention or in removal proceedings, and intersections with other forms of victim-based relief. Participants and panelists will strategize on answers to complex scenarios that may arise in U visa cases, including how to address inadmissibility, consular processing, parole, adjustment denials and other topics. This training assumes knowledge of U visa applications and adjustment of status and is intended for those with experience working on U visa cases.
