Safe Passage Project is a nonprofit organization that provides free lawyers to refugee children facing deportation, often to life-threatening situations. No child should face the immigration process alone, and we advocate for the fair, compassionate and equal treatment of all immigrant children.

Counties served: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, NY (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Suffolk

Services Provided

Areas of immigration legal assistance: Adjustment of Status, Asylum applications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, Family-based petitions, Naturalization/Citizenship, Removal hearings, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, T visas, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), U visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions
Populations served: Detained individuals, Domestic Violence Victims, Farm workers, Human Trafficking Survivors, Individuals who are not in legal immigration status, Individuals with criminal histories, Individuals with physical/mental disabilities, Juveniles, Lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender, Torture survivors
