The Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. (LALDEF) is a grass roots nonprofit organization formed to defend the civil rights of Latin Americans, and facilitate their access to health care and education, as well as to advance cross-cultural understanding in the Mercer County regional area.

Areas of immigration legal assistance: Adjustment of Status, Asylum applications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Employment authorization, Naturalization/Citizenship, T visas, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), U visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions
Populations served: Domestic Violence Victims, Human Trafficking Survivors, Individuals who are not in legal immigration status, Juveniles, Lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender, Torture survivors
