Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy - Immigrant Justice Program protects low-income and non-English speaking Latino residents and immigrants of other origins from exploitation through legal assistance and a variety of other programs.

Counties served: Alexander, Ashe, Avery, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Stanly, Union, Watauga, Wilkes, Yancey

Areas of immigration legal assistance: Adjustment of Status, Asylum applications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Employment authorization, Family-based petitions, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, T visas, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), U visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions
Populations served: Domestic Violence Victims, Human Trafficking Survivors, Individuals who are not in legal immigration status, Juveniles, Lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender
