Established in 1918, the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants is a statewide nonprofit agency recognized by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide immigration services to low income individuals. We provide a variety of immigration services through our offices in Stamford, Bridgeport, and Hartford. Our staff is comprised of immigration lawyers, DOJ accredited representatives, and trained immigration counselors. Low cost legal assistance and court representation may also be available for asylum cases, cancellation of removal cases, adjustment of status, changes of venue, voluntary departures, and other immigration legal issues.
