PRIAC is an agency of Jewish Family and Children's Service of Pittsburgh. It is officially recognized to provide immigration services for individuals and families with limited financial resources. The following services are provided:

RESETTLEMENT SERVICES - PRIAC staff assists individual and families who have received refugee or asylee status during their initial adjustment and provides support with social, vocational, medical and economic needs including:

  • Housing assistance
  • Bilingual case management
  • Bilingual medical case management
  • Acculturation workshops
  • ESL referrals and tutoring
  • Job readiness workshops and other vocational services
  • Immigration assistance
  • Naturalization preparation


IMMIGRATION SERVICES - PRIAC staff assists individual and families who have immigrated to the United States and Pittsburgh, helping them with immigration legal issues and to obtain citizenship. Services include:

  • Adjustment of Status
  • Relative Petition
  • Visa Extension
  • Affidavit of Support
  • Affidavit of relationship
  • Asylum
  • Status inquiries
  • Diversity lottery


NATURALIZATION SERVICES

  • Application review
  • Application filing
  • Citizenship Classes
  • Interview Practice
  • Representation at Naturalization Interview


ASYLEE SRVICES - Many of the same services available to refugees can also be provided to individuals who have been granted asylum.
