The Advocates for Human Rights

The Advocates for Human Rights implements international human rights standards to promote civil society and to reinforce the rule of law. By involving volunteers in research, education, and advocacy, the Advocates for Human Rights build broad constituencies in the United States and in communities around the world. The Advocates provides access to free legal services in approximately 1,000 immigration cases annually. Volunteer involvement is at the core of The Advocates' mission. Hundreds of trained volunteers provide pro bono legal representation, expert medical and psychological evaluations, and interpretation and translation services to The Advocates' asylum clients.
