Immigration Attorney, World Relief Seattle (WRS)

As the local affiliate of the international humanitarian organization World Relief, World Relief Seattle (WRS) has served refugees and vulnerable immigrants in Western Washington since 1979. World Relief’s mission is to empower the local church to serve the most vulnerable. Our vision is to see every refugee and vulnerable immigrant welcomed by community, rooted in community and empowered for community.

World Relief Seattle’s Immigration Legal Services (ILS) team is a U.S. Department of Justice- recognized program that provides high quality legal representation on immigration matters from our office in Kent. We tailor our services to meet the needs of our target populations: refugees, asylees, asylum seekers, undocumented immigrants, those in detention, and low-income immigrants. In the last 18 months, we have quadrupled our ILS staff in response to increased demand from these communities. World Relief Seattle’s ILS team consists of three DOJ-accredited representatives and a Legal Assistant.

The Immigration Attorney will play a critical role in World Relief Seattle’s growing Immigration Legal Services (ILS) team. The primary role of the Immigration Attorney will be to advise and represent clients with our priority legal services, which include naturalization, adjustments of status, document renewal (green cards & work authorization), and family immigration petitions. The Immigration Attorney will begin representation of clients in removal proceedings in late 2020.
