Director of Network Services, CLINIC

Position:

The Director of Network Services is responsible for supervising and supporting CLINIC’s mission-driven sections: Advocacy, Religious Immigration Services and Technical and Training Assistance. This position ensures that these three areas are effectively resourced, planned, and executed consistent with CLINIC’s mission, strategic plan, yearly priorities, and the Executive Director’s vision of an efficiently run agency. Additionally, the Director of Network Services facilitates information sharing between CLINIC’s mission-driven sections and its field engagement section. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director to make strategic decisions critical to the agency’s mission-driven services.

The Director of Network Services is a member of CLINIC’s senior leadership and as such participates in planning and decision making affecting the entire organization and shares responsibility for achieving the agency’s mission.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with CLINIC's Director of Field Engagement on continuously examining and strengthening the flow of information between the field and CLINIC’s network services to ensure that services respond to the needs of the network.
  • Partner with CLINIC’s Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation team to develop, implement and oversee evaluative processes on services provided and resources created.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with governmental, non-governmental and other faith-based stakeholders and organizations to ensure effective collaboration and coordination in providing expanded access to resources and services.
  • Supervise each section leader and complete annual performance review.
  • Establish priorities and work plans for three teams. Track progress on goals and key activities.
  • Partner with section directors to ensure all teams have goals that align with CLINIC’s priorities and plans in place to meet them; provide clear and useful feedback; and serve as a thought partner and resource to section directors in their realms of responsibility, including on issues related to the management of their teams.
  • As a supervisor, this person will provide necessary direction, supervision, and support to ensure clarity in roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Develop and manage systems for communication, coordination and strategizing between Advocacy, Religious Immigration Services and Training and Technical Assistance.
  • Ensure that Advocacy, RIS and TTTA are developing and implementing ongoing quality services to deliver outcomes that meet and/or exceed both the requirements of grants and identified internal benchmarks.
  • Support each section director, as needed, with strategizing around urgent tasks that arise due to changes in immigration law and policy.
  • Oversee and review budget performance for each prospective section.
  • Inform employees of professional opportunities and discuss career advancement goals.
  • Know, value, and contribute to CLINIC’s mission.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in a management position and advanced degree in a field related to CLINIC’s work.
  • 5+ years working in the immigration field.
  • Track record delivering results, commanding respect, and assuming leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor,
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people – junior and senior, for-profit, and nonprofit, and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to CLINIC’s mission and impact.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legal immigration issues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Catholic social teaching on immigration.
  • Demonstrates exceptional judgment and initiative.
  • Discipline and the ability to communicate and adhere to a shared vision, mission, and set of goals and priorities.
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in organizational settings.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and to effectively direct multiple projects.
