Attorney-in-Charge, The Legal Aid Society
The Legal Aid Society is seeking an Attorney-in-Charge to leads its dynamic Immigration Law Unit, which handles removal defense for detained and non-detained individuals, including for Unaccompanied Minors and Adults With Children; affirmative immigration benefits; relief for survivors of domestic violence and trafficking; federal litigation in district and circuit courts; and criminal-immigration advice and representation. We’re now almost 100 people, within a larger nonprofit organization committed to indigent legal defense.
The ideal candidate would have experience leading a large team, working with unionized staff, and coordinating with funders and elected officials, while also having knowledge of immigration law.
