Project Coordinator, Center for Legal Immigration Assistance
Since 2001, CLIA has offered legal assistance to more than 10,000 Nebraskans for immigration matters. These include asylum applications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), employment authorization, family-based petitions, Naturalization/Citizenship, U visas, and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions. In addition, CLIA helps undocumented immigrants with employment and housing legal issues through a partnership with Legal Aid of Nebraska and their Project UPLIFT. CLIA has recently received funding to provide mental health services to violence survivors in addition to immigration support.
Position:
CLIA is looking for a receptionist to manage the front desk on a daily basis and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks which include grant management. Passing an FBI background check is required for employment.
Responsibilities:
- Offer administrative support across the organization
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the office
- Coordinate front-desk activities which includes distributing correspondence,
- redirecting phone calls, collecting and organizing intakes
- Coordinate schedules
- Help develop client survey, distribute and collect survey from clients on an ongoing basis
- Ensure reception area and conference room is tidy and presentable
- Provide basic and accurate information to clients
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail
- Maintain office protocol for clients
- Keep updated record of time worked
- Collect timesheets from independent interpreter contractors
- Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Work experience as a receptionist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Pleasant personality, be able to deal with stressful situations in a timely and
- effective manner
- Minimum high school degree
- Experience with working at a non-profit or grant management is a plus
