What is the National Immigration Legal Services Directory?
The National Immigration Legal Services Directory allows users to search for free or low-cost immigration legal services providers by state, county, or detention facility. Users can refine their search by areas and types of legal assistance provided, populations served, and languages spoken. Additional options include the ability to map results, create a PDF, email or print-friendly list of organizations, and to refer others to an organization via email. Users can also suggest new organizations to be added to the directory and provide suggestions for updates to information about existing organizations in the directory.
What type of information is available through the National Immigration Legal Services Directory?
The National Immigration Legal Services Directory provides in-depth data for over 900 immigration legal services providers in all 50 states, including location and contact information, services by county and detention facility, types and areas of immigration legal assistance, languages spoken by staff, and specific populations served. Members of the Immigration Advocates Network also have access to information about staffing and network affiliations.
How can I add my organization to the National Immigration Legal Services Directory?
If your immigration legal services program is not currently listed in the directory, you can add it by clicking the "Add Organization" link on the top toolbar. This will take you to a form requesting specific information about your program. Please include as much detail as possible. After submitting the form, we will review the information and either contact you for further information or approve your program.
How can I correct or update information for a specific organization within the directory?
If you wish to update or correct information for a specific organization within the directory, you may do so by clicking the "Please report any corrections to this organization's information" link at the bottom of the page for the organization you wish to update. This will bring you to a form allowing you to submit feedback or updates for that organization. After submitting the form, we will review the information and either contact you for further information or approve the updated information.
Do programs or organizations listed in the National Immigration Legal Services Directory charge a fee?
Some organizations listed in the National Immigration Legal Services Directory may charge a nominal fee for the services that they provide. Please contact the organization directly for information about their fee structure.
