Please join the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies (CGRS) for a webinar on working with expert witnesses in claims involving asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT) (collectively referred to as fear of return cases).

In this training, CGRS attorneys will discuss when expert witnesses may be useful, how they can benefit fear of return cases, best practices for vetting experts for an individual case, and identify the major steps in working together from the initial conversation to the conclusion of proceedings. Special focus will be given to how to review an expert declaration and how to prepare an expert for trial.

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions on the registration form.
