The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) is holding a virtual meeting to provide information to organizations in the US who work with people who might be considering making a refugee claim in Canada. The goals are to help people make informed decisions and strengthen networking between NGOs in the two countries. We will give a presentation about the Canadian refugee claim system and the realities for refugee claimants, particularly with reference to people who enter from the US, and take questions from participants. We will also discuss the implications of the Safe Third Country Agreement. Following the meeting we plan to develop an information resource, taking into consideration participants' questions.
