Federal Court Immigration Litigation CLE Practicum

This intermediate to advanced level, one-day conference provides participants with the tools they need to litigate immigration issues in the federal courts. The program begins with the Introduction to Federal Litigation 101 session, an overview of immigration litigation for newer litigators, and then moves on to more advanced level programming. Participants learn how to spot issues that can be addressed in federal court and walk through different types of federal court actions. The faculty provides practical tips, creative techniques, and uses real-life scenarios to teach participants how to address complex issues that immigration lawyers are likely to encounter in federal court. Please join us for a pre-conference litigation strategy meeting on February 27th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, co-hosted by the American Immigration Council and AILA's Federal Court Litigation Section. This participatory meeting provides conference attendees an opportunity to share litigation strategies, solicit input from colleagues, and update each other about select pending and recently decided cases. We encourage conference attendees to help us develop the meeting agenda by e-mailing suggested topics to clearinghouse@immcouncil.org.
