How to Put together a Request to USICE for Deferred Action

The training will cover practical issues that arise when putting together a request for Deferred Action to the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (USICE) to permit a foreign national to remain in the United States when they have no other immigration benefit for which they can apply and they have no form of relief from removal for which they can apply. The training will discuss prosecutorial discretion, putting together a strong supporting affidavit or declaration, as well as gathering strong corroborating documents. This training will be conducted by Emiko Furuya-Cortes, Esq., staff attorney with Catholic Charities Community Services of the Archdiocese of New York.
