Immigration Legal Services, a part of ICDR, provides direct immigration legal services to low-income, indigent and immigrant communities. The U.S. Department of Justice / Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP) recognized and accredited the ICDR to provide representation through accredited representatives who appear on behalf of clients before EOIR and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide affordable or low and pro-bono immigration legal services. Immigration service assists clients with various immigration matters, particularly, preparing and filing application/petition packages for EOIR and DHS. We manage all DHS communications, RFE and additional information, as well as help clients to prepare for interviews and/or tests. We refer complex immigration matters to our networks and/or partner attorneys on a Pro-Bono basis. We also train law students and new attorneys to provide pro bono services and educate community groups on the latest immigration issues. ICDR also handles diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and civil rights issues. Our Legal Services: • Naturalization Application • Family Petitions and Adjustment of Status • Asylum and for Withholding of Removal • Temporary Protection Status (TPS) • Petition for Employment Authorization • Travel Document/ Advance Parole • DACA & VAWA, and U Visa (victims of crime) Petitions • Advocacy for Immigration and civil rights and undocumented and immigrant people • Referral Service for complex immigration matters, domestic violence, public health, and social security benefits • DEI strategy and advocacy
