 ractice of immigration judges dismissing asylum ap
 plications, often without providing an opportunity
  for asylum seekers to appear at a hearing or pres
 ent their claim. We will discuss Executive Office 
 for Review (EOIR) policy, Board of Immigration App
 eals (BIA) decisions, general asylum case law, and
  certain regulations concerning pretermission of a
 sylum applications based on what are considered in
 complete applications or insufficient claims, pret
 ermission under the Asylum Cooperative Agreements,
  as well as other bars to asylum. The training wil
 l discuss tips to avoid rejection or pretermission
  before filing an asylum application as well as st
 rategies to challenge pretermission after the appl
 ication is filed. This webinar will assume basic k
 nowledge of immigration court practice.
