DESCRIPTION:This two-day, in-person event will offer sessi
 ons on selected issues in family-based immigration
  and feature several important guest presenters. I
 t will include a presentation and question and ans
 wer session by representatives of the U.S. consula
 te’s Immigrant Visa Section, Ciudad Juarez (CDJ). 
 This is a unique opportunity to ask consular offic
 ials questions related to immigrant visa processin
 g at one of the busiest consulates in the world. I
 n addition, National Visa Center (NVC) representat
 ives will present and answer questions on the agen
 cy’s role in the immigrant visa process. The train
 ing will also include a panel discussion with loca
 l nonprofit agencies on their efforts and challeng
 es at the border. For newer practitioners, the fir
 st day of the training will offer a fundamentals t
 rack on selected family-based issues.
