 Non-Profits

DESCRIPTION:Day One 
 Day 1 will provide an overview of t
 he legal elements for naturalization and red flag 
 issues that can cause an applicant to be denied or
  even deported, including lawful admission as an L
 PR, and continuous residence and physical presence
  requirements. We will go into depth on several no
 n-crime good moral character issues such as smuggl
 ing, non-payment of taxes and child support, selec
 tive service registration, false testimony, false 
 claims to U.S. citizenship, illegal voting, etc.  
  

Day Two 
 The morning of day two will cover 
 the disability waiver of English, civics and oath 
 waivers. We will also discuss the various ways chi
 ldren can acquire citizenship. In the afternoon we
  will focus on FOIA, the new N-400 form and best p
 ractices, and finish with a session on reduced fee
 s and fee waivers for naturalization.

All participants will receive a free electro
 nic version of the ILRC's popular publication, Nat
 uralization and U.S. Citizenship: The Essential Le
 gal Guide, 17th Edition.
