This CLE training is designed to equip volunteers with the knowledge and tools needed to assist immigrant clients in applying for Employment Authorization Documents (EADs)—a vital step in helping individuals gain the legal ability to work in the United States while their immigration cases are pending.

During this session, participants will gain an understanding of:

  • What an EAD is and who is eligible to apply
  • Policy updates
  • The legal basis and timeline for filing EAD applications
  • Common categories of EAD applicants, including asylum seekers, TPS recipients, and those applying for adjustment of status
  • How to complete and review Form I-765
  • Supporting documentation requirements
  • How to identify and avoid common filing errors

This training is suitable for new and experienced attorneys.
