This webinar provides practical guidance on the ethical and regulatory framework governing Department of Justice (DOJ) Partially Accredited Representatives who assist noncitizens in immigration court. Participants will review the scope of authority granted to partial DOJ Accredited Representatives by the regulations governing their practice, the limits on providing assistance to noncitizens in removal proceedings, and the ethical risks that arise when those boundaries are misunderstood or crossed. Trainers will discuss common practice scenarios and will highlight best practices for compliance, as well as strategies for avoiding unauthorized practice of law. This program is designed for Accredited Representatives, attorneys who work with Accredited Representatives, and supervising attorneys seeking to ensure ethical and effective immigration court assistance.
