Overview of Citizenship: Acquisition, Derivation, and Naturalization

This four-part webinar series covers the fundamentals of citizenship through acquisition and derivation and the requirements for naturalization. The series will review the naturalization requirements, including continuous residence, physical presence, good moral character, the civics and English-language requirements, and the oath of allegiance requirements. The application process will also be covered, including practice pointers for preparing and submitting the new Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and the N-648, Medical Certification for Disability Exception, as well as preparing clients for the naturalization interview. We will also discuss changes made to the naturalization process by the current administration and review the higher scrutiny currently being applied by USCIS.
