"Alien smuggling" can affect an immigrant in several different ways:  it is a ground of inadmissibility, a ground of deportability, and a bar to good moral character. Screening for alien smuggling is important for clients in various steps in the immigration process - from consular processing, to removal proceedings, to naturalization and beyond. This training will walk through what “alien smuggling” is, how it can affect an immigrant client in each of these contexts, and how to address it in your client’s case.
