The ABA Children's Immigration Law Academy (CILA) invites you to a complimentary 1-hour CLE webinar providing an overview of agency guidance on children's cases in immigration court. This presentation is geared toward attorneys interested in taking on a pro bono immigration case, practitioners working on a pro bono case, and practitioners new to children's immigration law.

Specifically, the webinar will cover an overview of two agency memoranda issued by the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the agency that oversees immigration courts, on guidance for children's cases in immigration court and pro bono services. The webinar will also include a panel discussion by attorneys in the field to share their experience with juvenile dockets and ideas to effectively advocate for children in immigration court proceedings. For reference, the two Directors' Memoranda (DM) that will be specifically covered in this webinar include:
- EOIR DM-24-01: Children's Cases in Immigration Court
- EOIR DM 22-01: Encouraging and Facilitating Pro Bono Legal Services

The presentation will include information on ways to get involved in pro bono representation of children in immigration matters including an overview of CILA's platform, Pro Bono Matters for Children Facing Deportation.
