How an Absence from the United States Can Impact One’s Naturalization Case

Topics:
  • Citizenship
  • Naturalization

We will discuss many of the different ways in which an absence from the United States can impact one’s naturalization case. Specifically, we will dive into how an absence can impact a naturalization applicant’s continuous residence and physical presence (two of the requirements for naturalization). Additionally, we will discuss how an absence can cause a naturalization applicant to have abandoned their residence and the impact abandonment of residence might have on one’s naturalization case. We will use examples to demonstrate the important points in the webinar.
