Topics:
  • Child Status Protection Act
  • Immigrant Children
  • Advocacy

During this era of lengthy green card backlogs, many clients are concerned about their children “aging out” before applications for permanent residency are complete. Panelists on this beginner seminar will present a basic overview of the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA), and they will discuss how it can effectively “freeze” a child’s age, providing an opportunity to keep immigrant families intact despite significant wait times.

Topics:

This webinar will cover strategies to ensure maximum benefit of CSPA (e.g., premium processing, adjustment of status vs. consular processing, downgrading, upgrading and interfiling). This session will also answer questions including: what is the definition of a child (according to the CSPA) and to whom does the CSPA apply. It will also cover analyzing and calculating “CSPA Age.”
