Consular Processing & Family Reunification - U/T visa focus

Topics:
  • Abused Spouses and Children/VAWA
  • T Visas
  • U Visas

Please join City Bar Justice Centers Immigrant Justice Project for a virtual lunch and learn focusing on the nuts and bolts of family reunification. U and T visa applications allow for applicants to include derivative family members abroad -- but once those applications are approved, the work is not done!

Topics:

This training will walk you through the next steps needed to consular process an approved derivative application, along with some necessary practice pointers due to COVID-related delays at embassies around the world. We will also talk about the structure and strategy around applications for humanitarian parole for family members not included as derivatives on the original application. The end goal is to ensure that long-separated family members are able to successfully reunite in the United States.
