This panel will address the recent events in Afghanistan; the threats those events pose to vulnerable groups including women, the legal profession and the rule of law; and how ABA members can support Afghans, both within that country and abroad. We will hear from former Afghan legal professionals, human rights activists and representatives from NGOs working to protect vulnerable individuals and groups. Panelists will describe ongoing efforts to provide services to Afghans relocating to the United States and the many opportunities to help.
