This 90-minute introduction to Public Charge is geared towards non-legal staff of immigrant-serving non-profits and community-based organizations. It will clarify exactly which public benefits carry potential Public Charge implications, and how to ensure community members are not unnecessarily foregoing benefits essential to their health and well-being. We will conclude with the main messages that service providers should be communicating to community members in this time of widespread fear and confusion.
