How to Obtain DOJ Recognition and Accreditation

This training will detail recognition and accreditation, the Department of Justice (DOJ) certification that allows non-attorney staff of non-profit agencies to provide immigration legal services under certain circumstances. We will discuss the requirements and process for submitting both new and renewal applications for recognition and accreditation. This training will also address the changes made to the program in 2017 and their impact on currently recognized organizations. The training will be conducted by Erica Watson and Michelle Born of the Immigrant Services Support Department at the New York Immigration Coalition.
