Petition Termination, Revocation and Reinstatement

Topics:
  • Lawful Permanent Residency

A lot can happen between the client filing a petition and becoming a lawful permanent resident. For example, the petition might be revoked based on death, marriage, divorce or the petitioner losing LPR status. The webinar focuses on the effect of a petitioner’s death or the beneficiary’s death and the ways to reinstate the petition. The presenters will discuss relief for widows, for survivors who qualify under 204(l), and for those who can demonstrate humanitarian factors. They will also cover termination based on 203(g), for failing to take action within one year, and the possible relief available. Join CLINIC attorneys Susan Schreiber and Charles Wheeler as they explain the law and relevant procedures. This webinar will not be recorded, so be sure to join us live.
