Approximately 700,000 people currently have DACA and have seen significant changes and threats to the program in recent years. This training will give an overview of the current status of DACA, review the renewal process and practices, and stress the importance of exploring other immigration options for DACA recipients while giving guidance on how to do that. Additionally, there will be time for case review and a sharing of best practices on how to talk to clients about the changes and preparing for the future. This training is free for staff of nonprofit organizations.
