The field of immigrant post-conviction relief is rapidly evolving. California continues to pass new legislative vehicles to erase or challenge old convictions while the courts of appeal, including the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Ninth Circuit, and state appellate courts are frequently issuing new decisions interpreting those laws. This webinar will present a summary of cutting-edge developments in immigrant post-conviction relief practice. Among other topics, we will discuss the BIA’s cases interpreting Cal. Pen.
