Investing in Foreign Citizenship for U.S. Immigration Benefits

Topics:
  • Other Citizenship

Approximately 17 countries have citizenship by investment (CBI) programs. Presently, only one of them has an investment treaty with the United States: Grenada. For nationals of many countries around the world that have no investment treaties with the United States, obtaining CBI in Grenada and then applying for an E-2 visa at the U.S. consulate is the best (and often only) option to create and work for a U.S. business. As an added advantage, it completely avoids USCIS and its restrictive policies. Finally, third-country citizenship is becoming of increasing importance to other clients who are faced with a travel ban or fear returning to their home countries.
