IMMIGRANT PATHWAY Institute (IPI) is a 40-hour, basic immigration law class using curriculum from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) and is designed to prepare students to apply for DOJ accreditation. The class introduces every major area of immigration law and legal practice, including family-based immigration, citizenship, grounds of inadmissibility and deportability, the removal process and defenses against removal, asylum and humanitarian visas, legal ethics, research and writing, and interview skills. Class sessions are taught by experienced immigration attorneys and advocates. Immigrant Hope is a faith-based Christian organization. Many of the student discussions and some of the presentations will come from a Christian perspective, but students of any or no religious belief or affiliation are welcome to attend and contribute.
