Court Skills Training for Partially Accredited Representatives

Topics:
  • Advocacy

CLINIC is offering a two-day in-person training on court skills for legal workers who intend to seek full accreditation. There is no fee for the training and CLINIC will cover lodging for two nights and meals during the training. Prior to the in-person training, participants must (a) attend or view recordings of eight webinars on removal proceedings that CLINIC is conducting in June and July; (b) complete quizzes that review the webinar material; (c) observe a master calendar hearing in immigration court and submit reflections in writing; and (d) review training materials, including a sample court file, that will be sent to participants in advance of the in-person court skills training. Finally, participants must agree to accept and enter into a retainer agreement with client in removal proceedings within three months of obtaining full accreditation. This training is for partially accredited representatives.
