Overview of the Department of Justice Recognition and Accreditation Program

Topics:
  • Advocacy

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites libraries and museums to participate in a webinar on July 18 from 2-3 p.m. (Eastern) to learn about the Department of Justice (DOJ) Recognition and Accreditation Program. Representatives from DOJ will discuss how to request recognition and accreditation, which allows community organizations, including libraries, to provide free or low-cost legal services to immigrants. A DOJ-recognized library will share their experience with the program, and the webinar will conclude with a question-and-answer session. We cannot answer any case-specific inquiries.
