Southern Peoples Organizing Intensive 2017

Topics:
  • Other Immigration

Join Southern organizers for three days of skill-building, political education, and strategy planning on every frontline for justice. We will gather in Clarkston, Georgia, a city right outside of Atlanta that is home for refugees and immigrants from over 60 countries. Long-time Southern Movement Assembly anchor, Women Watch Afrika invites Southern activists, organizers, educators, and community leaders to stand with the Clarkston community's fight against ICE raids, Islamophobia, and ongoing violence. At this time of great uncertainty and crisis, we will build unity rather than division and learn organizing skills that lead to local and regional people's power.
