Waivers to Inadmissibility and Deportability

This seminar will provide a basic overview of certain grounds of inadmissibility and deportability as well as waivers and exceptions that overcome removability because of health concerns, criminal convictions, smuggling in persons, misrepresentation, unlawful presence, prior removal, false claims to citizenship, lack of proper travel documents and/or visas and document fraud. It will also include an overview of the provisional waiver process, and recent changes to the provisional waiver program for individuals seeking to travel abroad to consular process. This training will be conducted by Audrey Carr, Director of Immigration and Special Projects at Legal Services NYC.
