Black immigrants are one of the fastest growing demographics in the United States. Nonetheless, this group remains a novelty in the broader immigration discourse. Join Welcoming America and the Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI) for an in-depth look at the State of Black Immigrants. This webinar will highlight BAJI’s 2016 report focusing on policing, mass incarceration, immigrant detention, and deportation. Participants attending will examine the demographic information of Black immigrants while understanding unique social and economic challenges facing this growing and often under-served immigrant group.
Featured Speakers:
- Carl K. Lipscombe, Esq., Program Manager, Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI)
