  • Program Assistance

The Department of Justice’s new rule, Recognition of Organizations and Accreditation of Non-Attorney Representatives goes into effect on January 18, 2016. The new rule makes substantial changes to the Recognition and Accreditation program, which includes transfer of administration to the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP), removing the nominal fee requirement, requiring renewal of recognition, and a new character and fitness requirement for accredited representatives. Join Steve Lang, Program Director, OLAP and Peggy Gleason, Assistant Program Director, OLAP, USDOJ-EOIR along with CLINIC staff for an overview of the new rule and requirements. The webinar will also feature a question and answer session. To submit questions in advance, please email CLINIC’s Advocacy team by January 4, 2017.
