How to Give a Know Your Rights Training

The Immigrant Defense Project is providing a free training with information about how to give know your rights trainings to immigrant community members in collaboration with partner organizations, including the CLEAR (Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility) project at CUNY School of Law. Participants will learn:

  • the legal rights of individuals interacting with immigration enforcement agents in a variety of contexts;
  • enforcement practices that have been used by DHS in the past; and
  • practical tips for individuals to enforce their constitutional rights and remain safe when interacting with immigration enforcement agents.

Registration:
Please register each individual who would like to attend in person or via livestream by clicking here. Please note that this event is not open to individuals whose job duties include prosecution on behalf of any government agency (local, state, or federal) in any type of proceeding (criminal, civil immigration, etc.).
