13th Annual Immigration Law & Policy Conference

Topics:
  • Other Immigration

While major reform of the U.S. immigration system has been at a standstill, the topic of immigration has been very much at the forefront of the campaign season and public debate within the United States. The 13th annual Immigration Law and Policy Conference, organized by the Migration Policy Institute, Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., and Georgetown Law, will offer timely policy and legal analysis as well as thoughtful discussion of key immigration topics facing the country and the incoming administration and Congress. Panels, featuring government leaders, researchers, service providers, and other immigration experts, will examine the effects of the political debate and upcoming election on future immigration policy; the contentious discussion surrounding refugee resettlement in the United States; developments in immigration detention and enforcement, and the impacts of the Supreme Court opinion in the important U.S. vs Texas case.
