Board of Immigration Appeals Recognition and Accreditation Application Workshop

Topics:
  • Program Assistance

Join NCLR for a group application workshop to complete applications to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) for recognition and accreditation. The workshop is for staff of community based organizations who are planning to provide immigration legal services and need to receive recognition for the organization and accreditation for the staff. BIA recognition and accreditation is the Department of Justice's certification of charitable immigration agencies and staff, and allows non-attorney staff to practice immigration law before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the immigration courts. During this four hour workshop at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, individuals will be led through the process of completing the applications for BIA recognition and accreditation. In order to walk out of the workshop with a nearly completed application packet, there will be a number of tasks to be completed in advance and materials to be gathered before the workshop.
