SHU Advocacy Post Ashker Case

This training will teach participants about the Ashker v. Governor settlement and strategies for advocating for and with people still enduring solitary confinement or retaliation due to political activity and/or alleged gang activity. Trainers will focus on strategies for successfully advocating with and on behalf of people in SHU or otherwise related to the Ashker settlement. The format of the training will be a question and answer session between Carol Strickman, someone formerly housed in the SHU (TBD), and readings pieces on topic by incarcerated Jailhouse Lawyers.
