AILA D.C. Chapter 2015 Fall Conference

Topics:
  • Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
  • Program Assistance

Register for our chapter's fall annual conference. This year’s event promises to deliver a full-day program with parallel tracks (employment and family/removal) packed with useful information for both beginner and seasoned immigration law practitioners. We will have a diverse and experienced group of panelists, including representatives from government agencies, ready to share their wealth of knowledge with you! Special for this year - the morning sessions in the Family Law track is a practicum focused on Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Registrants will be provided with the case scenario beforehand, and should come prepared to present their SIJ case in a jurisdiction of their choosing. Note: When registering, please indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for the jurisdiction. You will then have the opportunity to learn from experts about preparing a SIJ case in that specific jurisdiction. As an attendee of the 2015 Conference, you may email your questions to the speakers in advance of the conference. To do so, please email your questions if any to ihaveaquestionforapanel@gmail.com. Also, if you have questions at the conference, speakers likely will address questions from the floor. The conference will offer comprehensive and exciting sessions, informative articles, CLE credits, a variety of vendor booths, and networking opportunities, all at a great value, you won’t want to miss this year’s conference! Please visit our website at www.ailadc.org for continuing updates. On behalf of the entire DC Chapter, we can’t wait to see you there! Courtesy of co-chairs Maya Bangudi and Kellie Lego.
