Evidentiary Issues in Immigration Removal Proceedings

This one-day training will focus on evidentiary issues in immigration removal proceedings. Topics will include an overview of what constitutes evidence, challenging government's documentary evidence including motions to suppress and document production, evidentiary developments in criminal removal cases, witness testimony, ethics, and a mock removal hearing with strategy discussion and Q&A period. After lunch, UCLA Professor Hiroshi Motomura will present "The Strange Career of Lopez-Mendoza and the Future of Immigration Law."
