Immigration Attorney
Come to the Beautiful Mountains of Western North Carolina! Nationally renowned Pisgah Legal Services, an independent community-based non-profit, seek an experienced immigration attorney for its six-year old Justice For All Project (JFAP). JFAP serves low-income non-citizens who are eligible to secure legal immigration status and/or work authorization. With the new immigration court opening in Charlotte, only two hours away, and with Atlanta a quick trip down the mountain, life at Pisgah removes some of the stress and strain of big city immigration practice. At Pisgah, you will enjoy an incredibly supportive staff of poverty lawyers and bi-lingual assistants, not to mention a rewarding atmosphere. Law school graduate with immigration experience preferred. North Carolina bar license would be ideal, although not required. Background in general poverty law, experience working with low-income people, or Spanish-speaking ability would be a plus.
Salary $37,000 plus, depending upon experience. Excellent benefits.
