The Latest data tracking ICE prosecutorial discretion show that new filings seeking deportation orders in Immigration Court from October - December 2011 fell dramatically. Also, no evidence is found that ICE emphasis has shifted yet to deporting serious convicted criminals. TRAC is conducting two webinars to discuss these and additional findings, as well as data obtained by TRAC from the Immigration Courts and ICE itself. Court-by-court, nationality-by-nationality trends will also be covered. Each session will include a short (approximately 15-20 minute) overview of the latest data and their meaning. Demonstration of TRAC's web monitoring tools updated with October - December 2011 data, followed by a question and answer session. The first webinar will discuss the historic drop in the share of Immigration Court deportation orders during the last quarter and the jump in orders granting relief.
